How to Play

Cricwars is a cricket fantasy gaming platform, where users can come and strategically create team of players based on live matches. Teams earn points based on players selected. Players earn points based on their performances in live matches as per the Cricwars Points Scoring System.

Fantasy Match Play

Follow the 5 easy steps listed below:

  • Step 1 - Select a Match
    Select any match from the Upcoming matches.

  • Step 2 - Create Team
    Use your knowledge and understanding about Cricket and its players to form your Cricwars team of 11 players with a budget of 1,000 credits.

  • Step 3 - Select Captain, Vice-Captain & Power Player
    Once you have selected the 11 players in your team, now it is time to select your Captain, Vice-Captain & Power Player from these players who in turn will help you earn extra points.

  • Step 4 - Join Contest
    Join any of the Cricwars Cash contests to win cash or Practice contests. Every match will have various cash/practice contests. You may participate in any of the contest you wish to and showcase your skills and knowledge.

  • Step 5 - Follow the match
    Watch/Follow live matches to know how your selected players are performing and track the fantasy scorecard and ranking in every contest that you have participated in (Live Scores updated).

Process of How to Play “Fantasy Match Play”

  • Select any match from the Upcoming series that you would wish to play and click on the “Create Team” tab.
  • Create your Cricwars team of 11 players from the budget of 1,000 credit points by selecting players from all the 4 categories as listed below:
    • WKT – Wicketkeeper (Minimum 1 & Maximum 2)
    • BAT – Batsman (Minimum 3 & Maximum 5)
    • ALR – All Rounder (Minimum 1 & Maximum 4)
    • BOWL – Bowler (Minimum 3 & Maximum 5)
  • When selecting players, you can check the Players Information and their points earned in the past, if any, by clicking on the Player Profile picture.
  • You can also sort players as per their Points Earned & Ratings
  • You cannot have more than 7 players from a single team irrespective of the player combination.
  • When selecting players, the user must be aware of the following details:
    • No. of Players selected
    • No. of Players selected per category
    • No. of Players selected per team
    • Credits available
    • Deadline for team submission
  • Once you have selected your 11 players, choose your Captain, Vice-Captain & Power Player from these 11 players from whom you could earn most points. A player selected as Captain cannot be selected as Vice-Captain & vice versa. However, the Captain & the Vice-Captain that you select can also be your Power Player. The points earning structure for a Captain, Vice-Captain & Power Player based on the actual points scored is as follows:
    • Captain : 2x points
    • Vice-Captain : 1.5x points
    • Power Player : 2x points
    • Power Player + Captain : 3x points
    • Power Player + Vice-Captain : 2.5x points
  • You can create maximum of 10 teams in every match that you wish to play and you can join the contest with any of those teams. Also, while playing the Multi-Player contest with a contest size of 100 or more, you can join in with all your 10 teams in the same contest itself. However, while playing Multi-Player contest with a contest size of 10 or more and less than 100, out of 10 teams, you can join in with any of the 6 teams in the same contest itself.
  • Click on “Create Team” in order to create a new team. You can also click on “Clone Team” if you want to have the same set of 11 players that you selected for your earlier team and just change all / any of your Captain, Vice-Captain & Power Player.
  • You can make as many changes as you want in your team(s) until the deadline of that match. These changes could be like changing a Player, Captain, Vice-Captain, Power Player, etc. Once the deadline passes, no changes are allowed to be made and the teams are locked.
  • You can view all other participants’ teams only after the deadline is over. This is considering the Fair Play scenario.
  • Do not forget to join a contest.
  • You can also download other participants’ teams after the deadline is over and the teams are locked.
  • Follow live matches to know how your selected players are performing and track the Fantasy Scorecard and Ranking in every contest that you have participated in (Live Scores updated).

  • Step 4 - Join Contest

Process of How to Play “Fantasy Match Play”

  • Select any gameweek from the Upcoming Gameweeks that you would wish to play and click on the “Create Team” tab.

  • Create your Cricwars team of 11 players from the budget of 1,000 credit points by selecting players from all the 4 categories as listed below:

  • In tIn the Live Auction, there will be total of 3 rounds. The details are as follows:
    • WKT – Wicketkeeper (Minimum 1 & Maximum 2)

    • BAT – Batsman (Minimum 3 & Maximum 5)

    • ALR – All Rounder (Minimum 1 & Maximum 4)

    • BOWL – Bowler (Minimum 3 & Maximum 5)

  • When selecting players, you can check the Players Information and their points earned in the past, if any, by clicking on the Player Profile picture.

  • You can also sort players as per their Points Earned & Ratings

  • You can also filter players Team wise

  • Maximum players that you can select from a single team irrespective of the player combination is based on the following criteria:
    • If 2 teams involved: Maximum 7 players per team

    • If 3 or 4 teams involved: Maximum 4 players per team

    • More than 4 teams involved: Max 3 players per team

  • When selecting players, the user must be aware of the following details:
    • No. of Players selected

    • No. of Players selected per category

    • No. of Players selected per team

    • Credits available

    • Deadline for team submission

  • You can create maximum of 10 teams in every gameweek that you wish to play and you can join the contest with any of those teams. DRAFT MATCH PLAY (SNAKE DRAFT)

Draft is when you pick your players, turn by turn with each participant picking one player per turn. In the draft structure no team in one particular contest will have the same player.

Follow the 7 easy steps listed below:

  • Step 1 - Select a Match
    Select any match from any of the Upcoming series.

  • Step 2 - Join Contest
    Join any of the Cricwars Cash contests to win cash or Practice contests. Every match will have various cash/practice contests. You may participate in any of the contest you wish to and showcase your skills and knowledge.

  • Step 3 - Set an Auto Pick List
    Make a list of players in the order you would like to select them.

  • Step 4 - Log in at the Schedule Draft Time
    Log in to the contest as per the scheduled draft time, in order to draft players as per your choice. Click on “Auto Pick Off” tab once you enter the contest.

  • Step 5 - Draft the Players as per your chance
    Once you are live, start drafting players which you want as per your turn. It is mandatory to draft 12 players in every team.

  • Step 6 - Select your Power Player & Substitute
    After you have completed drafting the players in your team, select a Power Player and a Substitute from these players. These two options can be changed until the start of the match, after which the teams will be locked.

  • Step 7 - Follow the Match
    Watch/Follow live match to know how you’re chosen players are performing and track your Fantasy Scorecard and Ranking in every contest that you have participated in (Live Scores updated).

Process of How to Play “Draft”

  • Select any match from any of the Upcoming series that you wish to participate in.
  • Join the contest that you wish to play. Draft contest are always Head-to-Head. It will only be played between two participants.
  • After you join the contest, make your Auto-Pick List of the players in the order you would like to draft them in your team. You can make as many changes as you want in your Auto-Pick list before the live draft starts. You can drag and drop to prioritize a player in your Auto-Pick List. In scenarios where you are not online during the Live Draft, the system will automatically draft players into your team as per your Auto-Pick List, provided that player is not chosen by your opponent.
  • Log in to the contest that you have joined as per the scheduled time. Click on “Auto-Pick Off” tab and start drafting players that you wish to select as per your turn. There will be exactly 12 rounds of draft for drafting 12 players. The order of drafting for 12 rounds will be as per the following table:

  • While drafting the players in your team, you have to make sure you don’t exceed the following team composition limit
    • BAT/&/WKT - Batsman &/Wicketkeeper (Maximum 6 players)
    • ALR - All Rounder (Maximum 3 players)
    • BOWL - Bowler (Maximum 5 players)
  • Hence, you may create your Cricwars team for the Draft match play as per the following combinations:

  • While drafting the players in your team, you can check Players Information and their past points earned, (if any).
  • During Live Draft, you can sort players as per their Team Name, Player Role, Points Earned and Ratings.
  • There is no limit to the number of players you can select from 1 particular team.
  • While selecting players, be aware of the Live Timer of 45 seconds available to draft each player. Once a player is drafted, they cannot be changed or removed.
  • Once you have selected your 12 players, choose your Power Player & Substitute from these 12 players. The player you select as your Power Player will earn “2x” of the actual points than they have scored. The player you select as your substitute is 12th man of your team and no points will be scored for this player. You can change your Power Player & Substitute as many times as you want before the scheduled start-time of the match, after which the teams will be locked.
  • Watch/Follow the live match to know how you’re chosen players are performing and track your Fantasy Scorecard and Ranking in every contest that you have participated in (Live Scores updated).
  • You can also create a private contest of your own where you can invite your friends and play. Click on “Create Contest”. Enter all the details as per your requirement in the form. Challenge your friends by sending them the invitation.
  • Key Rules for draft:
    • You can withdraw from the draft contest if you wish to. Such withdrawal can be made only if no opponent is there in this contest.
    • It is mandatory to put the “Auto-Pick Off” when you login for Live Draft. If you don’t put the “Auto Pick Off”, it will not allow you to draft players as per your choice; rather the system will draft the players for you as per your Auto-Pick List.
    • In situations where you are not online during the Live Draft and have not made an Auto-Pick List, the system will automatically draft players in your team in the following order:
      • Player Rating - Players with the highest rating from the available players will be drafted first in your team.
      • Previous Points Earned – If the Player Rating is same, then among such players, the player that has earned maximum points in previous matches will be drafted in your team.
      • Popularity – If the Points Earned are also same, then among such players, the player who is most popular (in terms of selection) will be drafted into your team.
    • You can login any time to the live draft, even after it has begun and draft players from the round that you have logged into.
    • In situations where you have not selected a Power Player or Substitute or even both, the Player with highest Player Rating in your team will be made the Power Player & the Player with lowest Player Rating in your team will be made the substitute.

Auction

Auction Fantasy is a Full League or Series based structure. The User will act as an Owner and form their Squad through a proper bidding process. A budget in the form of Virtual Points will be provided to each User in order to enlist Players and form the Squad. However, there are some criteria’sto be adhered to whilst forming the Team. These criteria are as follows:

  • Minimum and Maximum Players that you can buy.
  • Minimum and Maximum Players that you can buy per role/per category.

  • Step 1 - Select a Series
    Select any Upcoming series.

  • Step 2 - Join Contest
    Join any of the Cricwars contest to win cash. Every series will have various Cash Contest. The User can participate in any of the Contest he/she wishes to and showcase his/her Skills and Knowledge.

  • Step 3 - Pre Auction
    Strategize how to go about the Auction. Shortlist the Players that you would like to Buy and add them to your Watch List along with the Rating that you would want to give the said Player.

  • Step 4 - Live Auction
    Log in to the Live Auction as per the scheduled time, in order to bid for Players as per your choice.

  • Step 5 - Post Auction
    Watch/Follow live matches to know how you’re chosen Players are performing and track your Fantasy Scorecard and Ranking in every contest that you have participated in (Live Scores updated).

Process of How to Play the Auction

Currently the Auction feature is that of aTeamAuction- An Auction where you will be bidding for all the Players of a Team at the same time.

There are three stages of Auction Fantasy:

Pre-Auction

Pre-Auction stage is where you join the Auction and strategize until the commencement of the Live Auction using Cricwars Online Platform. You can shortlist the Players you would like to bid for during the Live Auction, by adding them to your Watchlist. You can also rate your Watchlisted players like “HOT”, “Vaue Buy” & “May Be”. This gives The User freedom of concentrating more on his Choices. You can add or remove the Players from your Watchlist as many times as you want before the Live Auction starts.

Live Auction

  • In the Live Auction, an entire Team will be displayed. All Auction participants may start bidding for the Players in that Team. There will be a Timer set for each TeamAuction, for example, 10 mins /20 mins /30 mins/ 1hr/ 3hrs/ 6hrs etc. per Team. At the expiry of this Timer, the participants whose Bid is the Highest for one or morePlayer/s, will have those Player/s drafted in his/her respective Squads. If any of the Player/s have not been Bid for, such Player/s will go as Unsold and all Unsold Players will be set up for Auctionagain at a later stage.

  • In tIn the Live Auction, there will be total of 3 rounds. The details are as follows:
    • Round 1: In this round, all teams will be coming once.

    • Round 2: In this round, the Unsold Playersof Round 1 will be up for Auction& the bidding will be carried out. Just as in Round 1 the Unsold Players will be coming up Team wise only. This Round will be known as First Round of Unsold Players.

    • Round 3: In this round, all Unsold Players from Round 1 & Round 2 will be displayed together irrespective of their Teams. Auction participants can buy them directly at their base value. This round is not an Auction Round but the Players can be bought on First Come First Serve basis. This is known as second round of Unsold Players.

  • There are 3 user elements available while bidding for a Player. These are as follows:
    • BID - To increase the bidding value of a particular Player, click on Bid.

    • AUTO-BID - Directly set the Highest Value at which you would like to buy a particular Player, subject to the Maximum Value (this Value is Auto Calculated based on the Balance Number of Players you need to complete your Squad as compared to Amount already spent) that you can bid for a particular Player thus saving you from clicking the “BID” button repeatedly. Once Auto Bid is set, the system automatically keeps increasing the Bid Value until it reaches the Auto-Bid Value set by you.

    • RAISE By clicking on Raise, you directly raise the Bid Value of the current Player to the value that you would like to raise it to, subject to Maximum value that you can bid for a particular player.

  • During the Live Auction, you may view all analytical data required to strategize such as:
    • Total Purse at disposal for Auction
    • How many Players have I bought in total or per Team or per Role
    • How much is the Average Value to Bid per Player
    • How much is the Maximum Bid that can beset to buy the current Player
    • Other participants Teams, Purse Spent &Purse Balance, etc.
  • There will be a Blackout Time during auction from anywhere between 12am to 7am (depending upon the series & No. of teams) . During this Blackout time there will be no teams coming up for auction.

Post Auction

Post Auction is a stage where you can follow the real match scores and track your Auction Fantasy Scorecard, your Ranking, Performance of your Players as well as other participants’ Players, etc.

Key Rules for Auction

Following are few key rules for Auction:

  • Bidding/Auto Bid/Raise Rules
    • Each participant is given a purse of 1,00,00,000 virtual points.
    • All Players will have a Base Value of 20,000
    • Bid Value increment will function in following three ways:
      • From 20,000 - 5,00,000: Increment will be 20,000 per Bid
      • From 5,00,000 – 10,00,000: Increment will be 50,000 per Bid
      • Above 10,00,000: Increment will be 1,00,000 per Bid.
    • During Auto-Bid or Raise, the Auto-Bid and Raise tab, will function in multiples of 20,000 or 50,000 or 1,00,000 depending upon the category in which the Auto-Bid or Raise value falls.
    • All Bids always start at the Base Value of the Player..
  • No. of Participants
    • Depending upon the Series, each Contest will have between 4 to 10 participants.
    • Each Auction Contest is Single Entry. However, he/she can join multiple contests.
  • Squad Composition
    • Every participant must comply with the Minimum and Maximum Players that a Squad should compose of.
    • They should also comply with the Minimum and Maximum number of Players per Role/Category in the composition of a Squad.
    • This Minimum and Maximum Player’s limit will depend on the series& No. of Players playing in the series.
    • Maximum 7 Playerscan be bought per Team.
    • During the ongoing Series, in the event that a Player is Injured/Withdrawn and the said player is in your Squad, then you get an option of choosing a Replacement Player for your Squad. However such Player can only be selected from the Unsold Players List.
  • Disqualification
    • In an event where an Auction participant does not comply with the Squad Composition rules, his/her team for that particular contest will be disqualified & the points will not be calculated. However, the entry fee for the same will not be refunded & the contest will go on.
